Rainouts, cancellations for Sept. 21-24
Rainouts, postponements, cancellations and schedule changes for Dirt Late Model special and sanctioned events for Sept. 21-24:
Marion Center: With forecasted rain and unseasonably cold temperatures, track officials cancelled Saturday’s $6,000-to-win third annual Nathan Lauer Memorial; a makeup date has yet to be announced.
Red Cedar: Rain on Saturday forced track officials to postpone the 43rd annual Punky Manor Challenge weekend at Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wis., to Oct. 13-14; only prelims for Friday’s Duane Mahder Memorial were completed before precipitation halted action. The Mahder Memorial feature will precede Punky Manor heat races on Friday, Oct. 13, with consolations and the Punky Manor being contested on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Fayetteville: Saturday's Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event at Fayetteville (N.C.) Motor Speedway was rained out; the track will run a four-division program on Sunday headlined by 602 Crate Late Models but the Clash tour will look to return at a later date.
Tri-City: Friday's MARS Championship Series event at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Ill., was rained out and won't be rescheduled; Saturday's MARS finale pays $5,000-to-win.
Jamestown: This weekend’s 52nd annual Stock Car Stampede at Jamestown (N.D.) Speedway was rained out and rescheduled for Oct. 6-7.
Red Cedar: Thursday’s $5,555-to-win seventh annual Duane Mahder Memorial for WISSOTA Late Models was rained out and moved to Friday with rain again halting the event after heat races were complete. The rain shuffled the weekend schedule at Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wis. Originally scheduled as a two-day show, the $4,057-to-win 43rd annual Punky Manor Challenge has been condensed into a single-day Saturday show with afternoon prelims, a clearing of the grounds and then the evening's features.
