Knoxville weekend pushed back for ’24
Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway today announced that the 2024 Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals will be contested Sept. 19-21, moving it back one week on the calendar to separate it from the World 100 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
With next year’s World 100 set for Sept. 5-7, it will mark the first time since 2015 that Dirt Late Model racing’s most prestigious event and the Knoxville Nationals won’t run on consecutive weekends.
Before the Knoxville Nationals was moved up to follow the World 100 in 2016, the Jackson 100 at Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway was run on the weekend between the two events. The race that will separate Eldora and Knoxville in 2024 on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series hasn't been revealed by the national tour.
