Forecast dooms Peach State Classic
Facing a wet weekend forecast, Senoia (Ga.) Raceway and Castrol FloRacing Night in America officials this morning announced the cancellation of Friday and Saturday’s racing for the Peach State Classic weekend.
The $20,000- and $54,054-to-win Super Late Model events won’t be rescheduled and the Castrol tour’s season concludes with Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill., as the champion. Pierce receives $75,000 with runner-up Hudson O’Neal picking up $20,000 and third-finishing Jonathan Davenport $10,000.
Senoia will continue with its planned Thursday action with a five-division program for local racers (no Late Models are on the card). Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 p.m.. Visit senoiaraceway1969.com or the track’s Facebook page for details.
