With incoming rain imminent, Ultimate Motorsports Park and Mid-East Super Late Model Series officials agreed to move Saturday's season-opening Doug Walls Memorial to Fri., March 29, at the Elkin, N.C., track.

Working in conjunction with the Ultimate Southeast Series and Gaffney, S.C.‘s Cherokee Speedway to add an incentive for Super Late Model racers, a $2,500 bonus has been posted for a driver to sweep Friday's $10,000-to-win Mid-East feature at Ultimate Motorsports Park and Saturday's $7,500-to-win Ultimate Southeast season opener at Cherokee. The bonus would push a driver's take to $20,000 for winning both events.
