Minutes before cars were scheduled to hit the track, promoter Brandon Hardgrove cancelled Friday's $7,553-to-win Schaeffer's Spring Nationals event at Junction City, Ky.'s Ponderosa Speedway due to a racing surface left spongy by overnight rain and a lack of sunshine throughout the day.

All tickets will be honored Saturday at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Ky., for the $10,053-to-win Schaeffer's Spring Nationals Bluegrass State finale. Ponderosa will also offer other ticket refund/exchange options to fans.
