The inaugural race on the Revival Dirt Late Model Series has been pushed back because of the cancellation of the May 4 event at Lawton (Okla.) Speedway.

The quarter-mile oval remains dark after a March 5 fire that destroyed the track’s press box, damaged the grandstands and cause smoke damaged to the concessions area. The first-year Late Model tour’s event at Lawton was rescheduled for July 27.

The Revival tour’s next scheduled event is May 31 at Humboldt (Kan.) Speedway, a race co-sanctioned by the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series.

The tour’s original opener on April 20 at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan., was rained out.
