Tri-City fills RUSH schedule opening
Hours after announcing Sunday’s $3,000-to-win event at Rew, Pa’s Bradford Speedway was cancelled, RUSH Series officials announced that Franklin, Pa.‘s Tri-City Raceway Park will fill the vacated slot.
Crate Late Model tour competitors are set to return to the sprawling half-mile for the first time since Aug. 19, 2018, when Mike Pegher Jr. topped a 45-car field to collect $2,000. Series officials credited Tri-City’s new owners, Josh and Kyrsten Shiffer, for quickly filling the void. Modifieds, sprint cars, pro stocks, mini stocks and vintage mods will join Sunday’s undercard.
RUSH opens a weekend tripleheader Friday at Dundee, N.Y.‘s Outlaw Speedway before Saturday’s middle stop at Genesee Speedway in Batavia, N.Y. Each race pays $3,000-to-win.
