Sycamore's Hell Tour makeup now July 18
The makeup date for Sunday’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals rainout at Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Ill. has been amended, the track announced this evening.
Instead of July 8, the event — now paying $6,000-to-win (up from $5,000) — has been rescheduled for July 18 to avoid conflicting with the Castrol FloRacing Night in America at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway (that July 8 event is also a makeup date from a rainout).
While Summer Nationals makeup events rescheduled after the original points finale (this season July 14 at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio) are non-points events, series director said the Sycamore race will count for overall Summer Nationals points, but won’t be part of the weekly points system. Additionally, teams whose attendance makes them eligible for fuel money will receive it for the Sycamore event, Driggers said.
More details about the event will be announced, track officials said.
