Sprints join HTF's new finale at I-75
The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series today announced a new season finale Nov. 1-2 at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn., with $10,000- and $20,000-to-win events co-headlined by the United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour.
Set to become the biggest race weekend ever at the 3/8-mile oval, the HTF debut at I-75 will conclude the chase for the Late Model tour's $50,000 championship while sprint cars will wrap up the 27th season on the USCS circuit, which makes its second visit to I-75. Practice is scheduled for Oct. 31 and more event details, including support divisions and ticketing, will be announced.
Brandon Overton of Evans, Ga., leads the Hunt the Front tour’s title chase with Sam Seawright of Fort Payne, Ala., second and Ashton Winger of Hampton, Ga., third. The I-75 event will conclude the chase for more than $150,000 in total HTF points fund money, a record points payout among regional Late Model tours.
The Hunt the Front tour was originally slated to hold its season finale weekend at East Alabama Motor Speedway, but tour officials said the Phenix City, Ala., track elected to cancel the series visit. EAMS plans to run its event unsanctioned on the same dates with details to be announced.
The I-75 weekend is a new addition to the USCS tour’s schedule.
