Wet track forces USA Nationals twinbill
NEW RICHMOND, Wis. — Thursday's opening round of the 37th annual USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway was postponed because of wet, spongy track conditions at the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series event because of rain the previous night and morning. | RaceWire
The postponement sets up a doubleheader on Friday with a drivers' meeting at 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. hot laps for the opening program. Grandstands will open at noon.
The grandstands and pits will be cleared at the conclusion of the first feature and Friday's second round of action will run as scheduled with hot laps at 6:30 p.m.
The preliminary programs each conclude with $6,000-to-win features with performances from the prelims locking in 16 drivers for Saturday's $50,000-to-win main event.
