Early August rainouts, cancellations
Among non-national touring Dirt Late Model special and sanctioned events rained out, postponed or cancelled Aug. 2-5 (among other changes); rescheduled date added unless no makeup date was immediately announced:
Princeton: Monday's Structural Buildings WISSOTA Challenge Series event at Princeton (Minn.) Speedway rained out.
Cherokee: Mid-East Mania events on Saturday (604 and 602 touring races) were postponed to Sunday at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C.
County Line: Track and Ultimate Southeast Series officials cancelled Saturday's $5,000-to-win Tar River Rumble at County Line Raceway in Elm City, N.C., facing rain and an unfavorable forecast.
Elkins: Saturday's fourth annual Jim Stout Memorial, a $3,037-to-win Super Late Model event at Elkins Raceway in Kerens, W.Va., rained out.
Port Royal: Rain washed out Saturday's Ron Zimmerman Tribute at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway, a $6,000-to-win Limited Late Model event. The race was rescheduled for Aug. 23 on the undercard of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series action.
Lancaster: Saturday's Blue Ridge Outlaw Series event at Lancaster (S.C.) Speedway rained out. The track will run the $3,000-to-win seventh annual Phillip Knight Memorial unsanctioned on Aug. 24.
Latrobe: Saturday's Fastrak Racing Series event at Latrobe (Pa.) Speedway rained out and was rescheduled for Aug. 24.
Freedom: The $3,058-to-win Mike DuClon Memorial for Super Late Models at Freedom Motorsports in Delevan, N.Y., rained out; the $2,058-to-win Crate Late Model portion of the event was rescheduled for Sept. 13.
