Richer Lucas Oil tour sets '25 slate
ROSSBURG, Ohio — The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series this afternoon announced its 2025 schedule and changes for next season that include a record $1.27 million points fund, an expansion of the Winner’s Circle program and the addition of FloRacing as the national tour's presenting sponsor. | 2025 Lucas Oil schedule
Before the tour’s 2024 finale at Eldora Speedway, series director Rick Schwallie also announced an additional $750,000 to feature purses over the 2024 season, an increase to $250,000 for the series champion (up from $200,000) and Saturday night features paying a minimum $25,000-to-win (up from $15,000) and Friday night features a minimum $15,000-to-win (up from $12,000).
Schedule highlights include $75,000-to-win purses (up from $50,000) for the Show-Me 100, Knoxville Nationals and Silver Dollar Nationals, a $50,000-to-win event at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway capping a three-day weekend and a shift of the Hillbilly 100 to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., for a two-race Labor Day weekend.
Among other changes:
FloRacing: The new presenting sponsorship comes after a four-year extension of its agreement to stream Lucas Oil Series events.
Winner’s Circle: The tour’s loyalty program expands to 15 drivers (up from 12) and the top four finishers from 2024 points receive $1,000 per race (an expansion from just the previous year’s champion earning $1,000 in 2024) while all others get $700 in show-up money.
Points fund: An additional $256,000 was added to the top 15 in points with $250,000 to the winner, $200,000 for second (up from $150,000), $150,000 for third (up from $125,000) and $125,000 for fourth (up from $100,000).
Chase for Championship: The playoff-style format’s lone change is drivers in the chase will receive 10 points per series victory in points-paying races to start the five-race playoff.
Postseason payout: Total payout of points fund and bonuses is $1,331,000.
Among schedule highlights and changes:
• Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis, Ind., is the lone new track on the series; 2024 tracks not returning are Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Ill., Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky., and Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, W.Va.
• Eagle Raceway’s event shifts to May from July on the weekend ahead of the Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.
• A midweek event at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa, pays a track record $25,053-to-win.
• All preliminary nights will now pay at least $10,000 in winning purses (with a single $10,000-to-win prelim or dual $5,000-to-win semifeatures).
