The tour's schedule includes a record seven events paying $50,000-to-win or more, including a record-high $100,000 payday for the USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis.
“Through the support of teams and fans, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series continues to grow every year and we’re excited to take it to the next level in 2025,” series director Steve Francis said in a series release. “While we continue to increase the payouts for drivers and teams, we’re also building each race into a unique event that’s fun for the whole family.”
Besides the events that paid $50,000 in 2024 — the USA Nationals, the Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway and the Gopher State 50 at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn. — four other events received purse upgrades from 2024:
• April 25-26's Alabama Gang 100 at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala., has a $12,000-to-win prelim and $50,000-to-win finale (matching the 2023 purse).
• May 1-3's Dairyland Showdown at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis., has a pair of $10,000-to-win prelims capped by an event-record $75,000 winner's purse for the finale.
• July 11-12's event at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, boasts a purse of more than $200,000 with a $12,000-to-win prelim and $50,000-to-win finale.
• Oct. 10-11's Bayou Classic at Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La., has a $10,000-to-win prelim and track-record $50,000-to-win finale.
The tour's points fund pays more than $1 million along with the Winner's Circle program loyalty payouts and every standalone tour event pays a minimum $12,000-to-win and 18 events pay at least $20,000-to-win.
The tour's lone first-time tracks are Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Ill., and Wilmot (Wis.) Raceway, both on the 2024 schedule but rained out. Nodak Speedway in Minot, N.D., which hosted a 1989 WoO event, marks its first modern-era series event.
Among tracks returning to the schedule are Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. (first time since 2022), Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway (2012), Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo. (2018), Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Ga. (2011) and Humboldt (Kan.) Speedway (2022).
