Bonus boosts Gateway prize to $70,000
The 2025 Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Mo., will now pay a race-record $70,000-to-win for its Super Late Model finale on Dec. 6 thanks to a bonus posted by Tindal Truck Sales, event promoter Cody Sommer announced Wednesday.
The Mayfield, Ky., business owned and operated by John Tindal, a former Dirt Late Model racer and former promoter of Paducah (Ky.) International Raceway, has posted a $20,000 bonus to the Dirt Late Model winner of the indoor spectacle's finale atop of the $50,000 winner’s share announced earlier this month (2024 winner Brandon Sheppard received $30,000). The modified division also gets a $10,000 winner's bonus in 2025 to double the finale winner's payday to $20,000.
The extra cash for next year's Gateway Dirt Nationals is dubbed the Tindal Truck Sales Bonus, which runs the overall purse of next year’s indoor event that spans from Dec. 4-6 to $342,400, nearly a $150,000 increase from 2024.
