Glyndon, Minn., oval adds Late Models
Buffalo River Speedway in Glyndon, Minn., a track that hosted occasional Northern LateModel Racing Association events over the last dozen season, on Monday announced plans to run nine regular-season WISSOTA Late Model events along with its June 8 NLRA date.
"We're doing a few things different and taking a few chances on a few things," track general manager Jason Berg said in announcing the 2025 schedule with Late Model dates on April 27, May 4, May 10-11, June 1, July 13, Aug. 10 and Aug. 17.
The Sunday-night track is celebrating its 70th anniversary and plans to announce more details about the schedule and Late Model events, Berg said.
The track last hosted an NLRA event on Aug. 28, 2022, and last July hosted a non-touring Late Model event for WISSOTA-sanctioned drivers. Buffalo River joins more than a half-dozen WISSOTA-sanctioned Late Model tracks in Minnesota including Grand Rapids Speedway, Sauk Rapids's Granite City Motor Park, Montevideo's Fiesta City Speedway, Hibbing Speedway, Fergus Falls's I-94 EMR Speedway and Proctor Speedway.
• Buffalo River officials also announced the addition of more safety lights around the track along with the LiteCeiver system that provides an in-cockpit indication of green, yellow and red lights.
