Three-time national touring champion Tim McCreadie of Watertown, N.Y, and Drake Troutman of Hyndman, Pa., announced plans to enter this weekend’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series doubleheader at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway, confirming their move to the national tour after each driver spent last season following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

The two racers were among a handful of drivers who remained undecided about their 2025 touring series choice in advance of this weekend’s first conflicting dates for the rival circuits. The Lucas Oil Series competes Friday at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, and Saturday at Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway.

Sitting 12th in WoO points after six events, the 50-year-old McCreadie (pictured) returns to the series as a regular for the first time since 2015. He was the WoO Rookie of the Year in 2004 and champion in ’06 before shifting his focus to the Lucas Oil Series for the past nine seasons and winning national titles in 2021-22. The driver for the Briggs Transport team owns 33 career WoO victories with his most recent coming April 23, 2021, at Richmond (Ky.) Raceway.

Troutman, 19, was the 2024 Lucas Oil Series Rookie of the Year in his first season competing full time on a national level but will switch to the WoO trail this season after considering options with his new team owner G.R. Smith of Cornelius, N.C., who fielded a WoO effort last year for Max McLaughlin of Mooresville, N.C. The teenager enters Swainsboro’s action ranked 10th in the WoO points standings — with a season-high runner-up finish on Feb. 15 at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla. — and is eligible for WoO rookie honors.

Earlier the week, Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., announced he will run the WoO schedule 2025 after spending last season with the Lucas Oil Series. On Thursday, reigning Lucas Oil champion Ricky Thornton of Chander, Ariz., indicated the Koehler Motorsports team plans to remain with the series. Two other Lucas Oil regulars from 2024 who were eligible for either national tour — Paylor Motorsports driver Carson Ferguson of Lincolnton, N.C., and JRR Motorsports driver Daulton Wilson of Fayetteville, N.C. — confirmed Friday they plan to remain on the Lucas Oil circuit.

Another driver eligible for either tour, Kyle Bronson of Brandon, Fla., has elected to stick with the World of Outlaws.
