Hall of Fame treasurer dies at 72

David Poole, who served as treasurer of the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame for more than 10 years, died this morning after a brief illness. He was 72.
A retired HVAC business owner from Ripley, Ohio, Poole was a member of the Hall of Fame’s board and instrumental in the growth of the organization while playing a key role in its functions, the Hall of Fame announced.
"David’s passing will leave a void that will be impossible to fill,” the Hall of Fame posted in announced Poole’s passing. “We extend our love and deepest condolences to his wife Susan along with all of his family and friends."
David Earl Poole’s survivors include wife Susan, two children (Bryan and Megan) and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David should be made to St. Michael Catholic School, 300 Market St., Ripley, OH 45167. A celebration of life will be held later. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
