Tyler Carpenter (32) heads for a $3,000 victory.
What won the race: Leading every lap from his pole starting spot, Tyler Carpenter of Parkersburg, W.Va., dominated Friday's 35-lap Roger Breeding Memorial to score a $3,000 payday in Mountain Motorsports Park's unsanctioned special event. Carpenter crossed the finish line with a lead of 5.506 seconds over runner-up Shannon Thornsberry.
Key notes: Carpenter, who won for the first time since winning three races in less than a week in early September, was making his second start for AirMax Motorsports. He debuted with the team during the Dirt Track World Championship. ... Heat race winners Stephen Breeding and Brandon Fouts both ran into trouble early in the feature and ended up 14th and 16th respectively.
On the move: Steve Stallings of Hazard, Ky., started 16th and finished fifth.
