Gregg Satterlee earned his third ULMS victory of the season.
What won the race: Remaining perfect on the series for the 2021 season, second-starting Gregg Satterlee of Indiana, Pa., led every lap of Saturday's Zimmer’s United Late Model Southern Series feature at Selinsgrove Speedway to earn $4,000 for his third victory in three appearances with the tour this year. He took the checkers 2.682 seconds ahead of fellow front-row starter and points leader Max Blair.
Key notes: Satterlee's third ULMS win of the season marked his ninth career triumph on the tour, which split into a north and south division this year. All four ULMS races contested this year have been part of the southern division. The northern division launches with an April 23-24 doubleheader at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, and McKean County Speedway in East Smethport, Pa. . ... Satterlee stole the lead from polesitter Max Blair on the opening lap and led the entire way. ... A dozen drivers completed all 30 laps. … The Zimmer's United Late Model Southern Series made its first of two planned visits to Selinsgrove Speedway. The second visit is scheduled for Sept. 5. … Saturday’s race was originally slated to be the second leg of a weekend doubleheader for the series, but Friday’s race at Williams Grove (Pa.) Speedway was rained out.
Winner's sponsors: Satterlee’s Rocket Chassis is powered by a Clements Racing Engine and sponsored by Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, Keyser Manufacturing, Classic Ink and Valvoline.
