What won the race: Stealing the lead from fast qualifier Daniel Tucker on the opening circuit, outside front-row starter Jeff Smith of Dallas, N.C., charged to his 31st career Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series victory on Saturday in the tour's debut at Lake View Motor Speedway. He earned $5,200 in snapping a four-year dry spell.
Key notes: Smith finished 2.242 seconds ahead of Tucker. … Smith's victory was his first on the series since May 19, 2017, at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, N.C. ...
