What won the race: Picking up his second straight Spooky 50 triumph, Cade Dillard of Robeline, La., rolled to the $8,000 victory Saturday to complete a weekend sweep at Super Bee Speedway. Dillard, who earned a $2,000 prelim victory Friday, finished 2.345 seconds of Billy Moyer Jr.
Quotable: “We don’t get to race in Louisiana very often, but we’ve had the opportunity a couple of times in the past month. To race close to home is a treat, but to win two races in one weekend is for sure a bonus,” Dillard said. “We’ve got a really good team here, and we’ve battled through a lot of adversity this year. We’re looking forward to ending this season on a high note and hitting the ground running in 2022.”
Key notes: The 28th annual Spooky 50 drew nine Super Late Models with seven drivers completing the 40-lap distance. … Hometown driver Tanner Kellick, who won the event in 2019, finished third. ... Kyle Beard won the 20-lap Crate Late Model feature.
