The victory is Mitchell's second consecutive and the second of his career with the Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge after winning the season-opening Batten Memorial at Halifax County Motor Speedway.

I could feel it already taking rubber probably five laps into the race,” said Mitchell. “I went soft on tires so I was just kinda riding in the corner, riding out, just trying to keep it up under me so I would know I would have enough for the end.”
