What won the race: Tour points leader Mike Greseth of Harwood, N.D., took the lead on lap eight and never looked back, pacing the final 33 laps and cruising to win Saturday's Golden Hammer Classic feature at Devils Lake Speedway. The fourth-place starter collected $5,000 for the 10th victory of his Northern LateModel Racing Association and his fourth of the season.
Key notes: Joey Pederson of East Grand Forks, Minn., battled inside the top-five all race and claimed the runner-up position on the last lap, finishing 1.470 seconds behind Greseth. ... Ninth-starting Aaron Turnbull of Estevan, Saskatchewan, finished third one night after a regular-season victory at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D. ... Second in NLRA points, Brody Troftgruben advanced four positions and finished fourth. ... Three-time NLRA feature winner Dustin Strand of Grand Forks, N.D., advanced seven positions and finished seventh. ... Thirteenth-starting Scott Greer of Winnipeg, Manitoba, advanced five positions and finished eighth. ... Polesitter Jason Strand of Portland, N.D., failed to lead a lap and faded to finish 10th. ... Shane Edginton of East St. Paul, Manitoba, led the first seven laps from the outside front row before suffering race-ending trouble on lap eight and finishing 22nd. ... Saturday's feature, the 13th of 19 scheduled races of the NLRA season, was slowed by six cautions and lasted 33 minutes, with 13 competitors completing all 40 laps.
