What won the race: Second-starting Logan Roberson of Waynesboro, Va., took the lead on lap two and paced the final 29 circuits Saturday at Land of Legends Raceway, topping the RUSH Crate Late Model Series field in its inaugural visit to the Canandaigua, N.Y.-oval. The points leader's $3,000 victory marked Roberson's fifth of the tour's season.
Quotable: "Man that was one of the hardest ones I've had to fight for in a long time," Roberson said. "Jeremy raced me super clean and I really appreciate that. He got to my bumper about halfway through the race and he stayed there the whole time."
Key notes: Jeremy Wonderling of Wellsville, N.Y., advanced four positions but settled for the runner-up spot, 1.315 seconds back. ... David Pangrazio of Batavia, N.Y., rounded out the podium in third place. ... Matt Latta of Conneaut Lake, Pa., led the first lap from the pole before fading to finish sixth. ... Saturday's feature lasted 30 minutes with nine competitors completing all 30 laps.
On the move: Brian Knowles of Corning, N.Y., started 13th and finished eighth.
