What won the race: Pole-starting Chad Becker of Aberdeen, S.D., led all 30 laps Thursday at Dakota State Fair Speedway for a $3,000 Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series victory. Becker notched the second Tri-State Series victory of his career and first since 2019.
Key notes: Sixth-starting Cole Searing, winner of the last two tour visits to Dakota State Fair Speedway, finished second, 0.841 of a second back at his home track. ... Reigning series champion Trevor Anderson gained 10 spots and finished eighth. ... Cade Richards moved forward 13 positions and finished ninth. ... Morgan Ward Grosz was originally credited with completing 24 laps and finishing 15th before being disqualified for exiting her car during a caution. ... Gary Brown Jr. retired on lap 19 and Blair Nothdurft pulled off on lap 11, relegating them to finish 21st and 22nd. ... Thursday's feature was slowed by five cautions, including a five-minute red flag on lap 24, and lasted 46 minutes with 12 drivers completing 30 laps. ... Tri-State competitors return to Dakota State Fair Speedway for the 2023 Wheel Jam finale, with Saturday's $7,300-to-win feature the tour's richest of the season.
