Cory Hedgecock raced to a Topless Outlaws victory.
What won the race: Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, Tenn., won Saturday's Topless Outlaws Dirt Late Model Series race at Smoky Mountain Speedway, earning a $3,000 victory in the 35-lap Memorial Day Mayhem feature. He beat Chase King to the finish line by 1.159 seconds.
Key notes: Hedgecock dominated the event, leading the entire distance. ... The triumph continued Hedgecock's mastery of the second-year tour. He won six times en route to the 2019 points championship and has now won seven of the Topless Outlaws 12 all-time races. ... Jason Manley was running third on lap 15 when he slowed with mechanical trouble. ... Thirteen of the feature's 23 starters completed the 35-lap distance. ... Qualifying was comprised only of time trials; no preliminary races were held as all entered drivers were allowed to start the A-main.
