What won the race: Third-starting Aaron Marrant of Richmond, Mo., overtook polesitter Bill Leighton Jr. late in Saturday’s Malvern Bank Series opener at Central Missouri Speedway to claim his first career series victory. Taking the checkers ahead of Leighton and Tad Pospisil, Marrant pocketed $2,000.
Key notes: The Malvern Bank Series opened its season with its first visit to Central Missouri Speedway, which hosted Super Late Model for the first time. … The tour got underway after losing 11 events to start the season because of the shutdown for the Covid-19 pandemic.
