What won the race: Justin Boomsma of Huron, S.D., overtook polesitter Eric Vanosdall in cruising to a $1,000 RepairVehicles.com Tri-State Series victory Friday at Wagner Speedway.
Key notes: Boomsma is the eighth winner in eight 2020 series races. ... Wagner officials, fans and fellow drivers were mourning the loss of hometown driver Seth Fischer, the track’s all-time leader in feature wins with 20 of his 29 victories coming in the Late Model division. Fischer drowned Sunday swimming in the Missouri River. ... The series doubleheader concludes at Wagner on Saturday night, with another $1,000-to-win main event. ...
