What won the race: Dale Timms of Hodges, S.C., earned his fourth City Chevrolet 602 Thunder Series win of the season on Friday night, cruising to the $2,000 victory at Lavonia Speedway after passing early race leader and hometown driver Blake Craft.
Key notes: Timms made it four wins in five races this season; Craft, who earned his fourth top-five finish of 2020 after flashing under the checkered flag 2.214 seconds behind Timms, is the only other driver who has visited victory lane on the tour this year. ... The race served as the undercard to the Ultimate Southeast Series at Lavonia Speedway (Ga.) on Friday night, the City Chevrolet 602 Thunder Series welcomed a familiar face to victory lane. ...
