Ross White celebrates in victory lane at Volunteer Speedway.
What won the race: Eighth-starting Ross White of Knoxville, Tenn., topped Riley Hickman in Saturday night’s American Crate All-Star Series-sanctioned Star Spangled 40 at Volunteer Speedway to pocket $2,000. White finished ahead of Hickman and Greg Martin.
Key notes: The American Crate All Stars joined the Schaeffer’s Iron-Man Series for a Late Model doubleheader at Volunteer Speedway. … The Crate tour drew 48 entries when it opened its 2020 season at the high-banked east Tennessee oval on May 22, a race completed in the wee hours of the morning following multiple rain delays and won by Trevor Sise of Knoxville, Tenn.
