Zack Dohm gets rolling before his victory at Ponderosa Speedway.
What won the race: Winning his third unsanctioned July special, Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, W.Va., overtook Jason Jameson on the 16th lap Friday at Ponderosa Speedway and raced to a $6,088 victory in the Big Daddy Classic. Dohm took the checkers seven-tenths of a second ahead of David Webb while Jameson settled for third.
Key notes: Dohm's previous July victories came at Beckley (W.Va.) Motorsports Park and Ponderosa's sister track, Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Ky. ... Nine drivers completed 40 laps and sixteen of 18 starters were running at the finish. ... There was an hour delay in the program because of lighting and PA system issues. ...
