What won the race: Taking the lead from Zach Sise on lap 19, Randy Weaver of Crossville, Tenn., never surrendered the spot en route to winning Friday’s Hey Jack Construction 45 at Crossville Speedway. Weaver finished 2.687 seconds ahead of Jason Welshan in earning $2,500 in the American Crate All-Star Series event.
Key notes: Randy Weaver won his series-best fourth American Crate All-Star Series race of the season and third in a row at his home track. … Ross White dropped Sise to third following a caution on lap 22, but White’s night ended on lap 31. … Welshan passed Sise on the restart but couldn’t catch Weaver. … Seventeen of the 24 starters finished on the lead lap. … Series leader Tyler Arrington of Lebanon, Va., finished 14th.
