Mike Palasini Jr. picked up $3,000 for his third career MSCCS victory.
What won the race: Mike Palasini Jr. of Leland, Miss., led all the way from his pole position Saturday at Chatham Speedway for his third career Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series victory. He earned $3,000 in snapping sixth-place finisher Chad Thrash’s two-race winning streak.
Key notes: Palasini won two series races last season, one at Greenvile, Miss., and the other at ECM Speedway in Bremen, Ala. ... Series points leader Chad Thrash had captured the first two races of the season. ... The series visited Louisiana for just the fourth time in its history and the first time since 2014 when the tour stopped at Lacombe’s St. Tammany Raceway.
