What won the race: Fifth-starting Dustin Strand of Grand Forks, N.D., overtook race-long leader Lance Schill on the final lap Friday at River Cities Speedway, winning the $1,200 Northern LateModel Racing Association feature by 0.033 seconds.
Key notes: Winning his 24th career NLRA feature, Strand won his second in a row and third of the season; his Thursday victory came at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn. ... Runner-up Lance Schill of Langdon, N.D., a modified standout who moved back into Late Models this season, started outside the front row and led 24 circuits. ... Brody Troftgruben was involved in the race's only caution on lap nine; he finished 18th. ... River Cities weekly Late Model points leader, Brad Seng of Grand Forks, N.D., finished fourth. ... The feature was completed in just over 14 minutes, with the top nine finishers completing 25 laps. ... River Cities Speedway hosted its 44th NLRA event and ran in conjunction with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series for the 20th time.
