What won the race: Tim Manville of Troy, Ill., led all 30 laps Saturday at Tri-City Speedway for a $3,000 victory in the third and final round of Super Late Model competition during the Summit Mod Mania weekend. Manville took the checkers 1.135 seconds ahead of Jason Feger at the St. Louis-area dirt track.
Key notes: Manville's victory combined with his runner-up finish Friday to give him a pair of podium finishes during Tri-City's three-race weekend. He was ninth in Thursday's opener. ... Feger of Bloomington, Ill., earned podium finishes on all three nights with runner-up performances Thursday and Saturday and a third-place effort Friday. ... The event kicked off on Thursday with Chris Simpson of Oxford, Iowa, scoring a $2,000 victory. … Frank Heckenast Jr. of Frankfort, Ill., claimed Friday’s $2,500 winner’s check after overtaking Manville late in the race. ... Saturday's feature was slowed by two caution flags and lasted just under 14 minutes. ... Only the top 10 finishers completed all 30 laps. ... Nick Hoffman earned $5,000 for winning Saturday's modified feature.
