What won the race: Sam Seawright of Rainsville, Ala., rolled to a wire-to-wire victory in Saturday night's 40-lap United Championship Racing Alliance season finale at Fort Payne Motor Speedway. He earned $2,000 for his third win of 2020 on the Crate Late Model tour and also captured the night's $3,000 Super Late Model feature.
Key notes: Seawright cruised out front for the majority of the event until lapped traffic slowed his momentum, allowing Kasey Hall to cut Seawright's edge to just three-tenths of a second with three laps remaining. But Hall couldn't draw closer and settled for second place, 0.659 of a second behind the victor. ... Seawright has now won three of the four series races at Fort Payne, including the most recent on Sept. 12. He ended the circuit's campaign with two straight wins.
Winner's sponsors: Seawright's JSR Racing entry is sponsored by Alarm Systems, Steel, Farm System Inc., J&R Lumber, The Pickin Post and Finish Line Graphics.
Points chase: Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, Tenn., unofficially wrapped up the series title.
