Michael Page grabbed a victory at Boyd’s Speedway.
What won the race: Polesitter Michael Page of Douglasville, Ga., pulled away from Randy Weaver on a restart with five laps remaining to capture a $5,000 victory in Saturday night's Schaeffer's Fall Nationals event at Boyd's Speedway. Page led all 50 laps in claiming the third Fall Nationals victory of his career and his first on this year's version of the Ray Cook promoted miniseries.
Key notes: Page earned his first victory since claiming a $20,000 Crate Late Model victory at Cochran Motor Speedway on Sept. 6. It was his first Super Late Model victory since May. 7. … The race was slowed by a lap-15 caution for Scott Shelton. ... Another cautioned appeared near halfway for Jordan Rodabaugh. … On the ensuing restart, a six-car pile up collected Ronnie Johnson, Stacy Boles, Craig Greer and Matt Dooley, among others. … Donald McIntosh ran second for much of the distance before Randy Weaver took position late in the race. … The final caution with five laps remaining gave Weaver a chance to challenge for the lead, but Page pulled away to a nearly four-second advantage by the finish.
On the move: Justin Owens started 20th and finished 11th in a race that saw very few big movers.
Winner's sponsors: Page’s Stinger Race Car is powered by an Andy Durham Racing Engine and sponsored by Baird Sales & Rentals, Baird Truck & Trailer Sales, National Transportation Insurance Specialists, Schaeffer’s Oil and T&T Trucking.
Points chase: Three-time and defending series champion Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga., took over the points lead with his third-place finish.
