Gregg Satterlee completed his ULMS sweep Sunday at Port Royal.
What won the race: Going from third to first on a lap-five restart, sixth-starting Gregg Satterlee of Indiana, Pa., cruised the rest of Sunday's 35-lapper at Port Royal Speedway to complete a southern division weekend sweep on the Zimmer's United Late Model Series. Satterlee added $4,000 to his $3,000 victory in Saturday's tour opener.
Quotable: "It was a good weekend. A lot of things fell our way and we were just able to get out front and cruise there," Satterlee said. "The feature today was a little different than last night. It was pretty one-laned, but I was able to take advantage of some restarts and just kinda cruise and keep our tires, try to manage those as well as I could, and ride it out."
Key notes: Satterlee notched his 11th career Late Model victory at Port Royal and eighth of his ULMS career. ... Runner-up Jeff Rine was 3.947 seconds back at the checkers. ... Four yellows slowed the action. ... Fourth-running Rick Eckert ended up facing the wrong direction on the backstretch after contact with Satterlee to draw a lap-four caution. ... DeShawn Gingerich spun by himself for cautions on laps seven, 14 and 23 (the second one in turn two just in front of Satterlee, who steered to the high side to avoid contact); he was sent pitside by the generous ULMS three-spin rule. ... Nineteen drivers completed 35 laps.
On the move: Dylan Yoder of Selinsgrove, Pa., started 18th and finished fourth.
Winner's sponsors: Satterlee’s Rocket Chassis is powered by a Clements Racing Engine and sponsored by Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, Keyser Manufacturing, Classic Ink and Valvoline.
