What won the race: Fifth-starting hometown racer Pearson Lee Williams scored his first career Southern All Star Series victory Saturday at Patriots Park Raceway. He earned $4,000 for his Icebreaker 50 victory.
Key notes: Dalton Cook of Columbus, Ga., lowered the track record in time trials with a 14.673 second lap. He pocketed a $500 bonus from Modern Images and Visalia Motorsports. ... It was the tour’s first visit to Dublin since Jack Pennington won at 441 Speedway on Sept. 12, 1992.
