What won the race: Sixth-starting Booger Brooks of Chattanooga, Tenn., earned his first career American All-Star Series Crate Late Model victory Friday at Tri-County Racetrack, collecting $2,500.
Key notes: After setting the second fastest lap, Zach Sise of Knoxville, Tenn., was forced to race his backup car after discovering damage to the engine in his primary machine, following qualifying. ... The Ray Cook-promoted Tri-County Racetrack hosted the second event of the season for the American All-Star Series. ... Friday's race was the Crate Late Model tour's last event scheduled in April, after a tentatively scheduled weekend at 311 Motor Speedway in Pine Hall, N.C., was removed from the schedule.
