What won the race: Polesitter Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., overcame a back-and-forth battle with Jared Miley of Pittsburgh, Pa., in the closing laps of Saturday's ULMS North feature at Wayne County Speedway, pulling away the final four laps to earn a $3,000 victory.
Key notes: The victory is the 32nd of Blair's career with the Zimmer’s United Late Model Series and it came in the tour's first ever visit to Wayne County. … Miley settled for the runner-up position, 0.460 seconds behind Blair. ... Mitch Caskey was running second early when he spun in turn four on the fifth lap; he came back to finish fifth. ... Doug Drown got into the fence running third on lap 14. ... J.R. Gentry of Wooster, Ohio, the previous week's Wayne County weekly winner, finished 12th. ... Saturday's feature was slowed by six cautions, lasted 23 minutes and saw the 11 drivers complete 30 laps. ... Saturday was scheduled to be the second night of the tour’s three-race weekend, but Thursday’s opener at McKean County Raceway in East Smethport, Pa., was postponed until May 27 by dusty track conditions after heat races were completed. ...
