Jesse Lowe scored a career-high $5,000 victory at Wythe Raceway.
What won the race: Making a clean sweep of the night, fast qualifier and polesitter Jesse Lowe of Crossville, Tenn., cruised to a career-richest $5,000 American All-Star Series victory Sunday at Wythe Raceway. He took the checkers ahead of Carson Ferguson and Zach Sise.
Quotable: “What a dream come true to get to drive this car for Duplissey Racing. I’m just a smalltown boy living the dream,” Lowe said. “Everything came together, and we were able to sweep the show from qualifying to the dash to the feature. This win is dedicated to my wife, my family, my crew, Duplissey Racing, and everyone who supports this team to make it possible.”
Key notes: Lowe led every circuit to secure the evening sweep after topping the charts in hot laps and time trials. … He finished 3.160 seconds ahead of runner-up Carson Ferguson. … Fifteen drivers completed all 50 laps. … Sunday’s $3,000-to-win special at Wythe wrapped up the third annual Mayhem in the Mountains for the American All-Star Series presented by PPM. … It was the second night of a weekend doubleheader for the Crate Late Model tour.
