What won the race: Gaining the lead on a lap-10 restart, third-starting Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., paced the final 20 circuits and cruised to win the Zimmer's United Late Model Southern Series feature at Marion Center Raceway on Saturday, collecting $3,000.
Key notes: The victory is Blair's fourth of the year with the United Late Model Southern Series and the 38th of his career, further adding to his lead as the tour's all-time win leader. ... Blair remains the only ULMS feature winner at Marion Center, after winning the series' last stop there in 2015. ... Polesitter and leader of the first 10 laps, Matt Lux of Franklin, Pa., settled for the runner-up position, 0.970 seconds behind Blair. ... Saturday's feature, the tour's only stop at Marion Center this season, was slowed by five separate incidents and lasted 33 minutes, with 13 competitors completing all 30 laps. … The ULMS Southern tour concludes their weekend doubleheader with a trip to Bloomsburg (Pa.) Fair Speedway on Sunday, for another $3,000-to-win feature.
