What won the race: Holding off a charging Jesse Glenz, polesitter Travis Budisalovich of Minneapolis, Minn., captured the $3,211 Structural Buildings WISSOTA Challenge Series victory in Thursday’s Silver 1000 at Halvor Lines Speedway. He finished 0.781 seconds ahead of sixth-starting Glenz.
Key notes: The win was Budisalovich's second series victory of his career. … The winner of the 2019 Silver 1000, Pat Doar, finished fifth. … A dozen drivers completed all 40 laps. … Halvor Lines Speedway hosted the 49th annual Silver 1000, a $3,211-to-win event on the Structural Buildings WISSOTA Challenge Series. … Among several bonuses, Budisalovich was the halfway leader and earned extra $2,020 posted by Troy Powers in memory of his father Dennis Powers, who recently passed away. … Other bonuses include the feature hard charger ($227), the long tow award ($270), the fastest Late Model lap ($127), the highest finishing non-MB Customs entry ($200), $20 for each lap led and $127 to the Late Model winner if the No. 27 is visible on the car. … To help offset costs for teams, F Brennan Companies covered the entry fees for Late Model drivers.
