Zack Dohm drove his father's No. 6T to the Brown Jug 30 victory.
What won the race: Polesitter Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, W.Va., led from flag-to-flag at Tyler County Speedway on Friday night, winning the Brown Jug 30 to earn his first career feature victory with the Fastrak Racing Series. He turned back Brent Trimble's challenge after a lap-16 restart and beat the Morgantown, W.Va., driver by 1.110 seconds for the $2,000 top prize.
Quotable: "We're still low on (Super Late Model) motors so we put a crate in this one last week," said Dohm, who drove his father Tim's Longhorn No. 6T machine. "I’m making him run my 17 (Super Late Model) in the Hillbilly 100 (at Tyler County) Sunday. I’m gonna try to win the Hillbilly 50 Steel-Block race with this Crate tomorrow and get a provisional for the 100."
Key notes: Dohm drove his father Tim's Longhorn No. 6T with a Crate engine under the hood. ... After winning at Tyler County on Aug. 21 and guaranteeing himself a spot in Friday's Brown Jug 30, Kyle Thomas finished third. ... Friday's feature, a preliminary event to Saturday’s Brown Jug 50 for Steel-Block Late Models and Sunday's Lucas Oil Series-sanctioned Hillbilly 100, was slowed by only one incident, on lap 15, and lasted 17 minutes; 11 competitors completed all 30 laps .
Winner's sponsors: Dohm’s Longhorn Chassis is sponsored by Dohm Cycles, Octane Race Products, Way Floor Covering, Jen’s Hair Care and Mountain Top RV Park.
