Tad Pospisil celebrates in victory lane at Knoxville.
What won the race: Winning by nearly a three-second margin, outside front-row starter Tad Pospisil of Norfolk, Neb., cruised to the $4,000 Bob Maschmann Memorial Invitational victory on Saturday night at Knoxville Speedway. Popspisil led all 22 laps to record his 28th career Malvern Bank Series victory.
Key notes: Pospisil recorded his ninth overall victory of 2021 … Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., who leads the Malvern Bank Series point standings slowed on lap 19 with a cloud of smoke trailing him into the infield pit. … The Hoker Trucking Series and the Malvern Bank Series co-sanctioned Saturday’s Bob Maschmann Memorial, an invitation-only event on the undercard of the Knoxville Lucas Oil Nationals, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event won by Mike Marlar. … The winner of the event in 2019, Jason Rauen of Farley, Iowa, finished 20th.
