What won the race: Completing the weekend sweep, Josh Rice of Verona, Ky., won Saturday's $5,000-to-win main event at Florence Speedway, backing up Friday's $3,000 triumph.
Key notes: Rice earned his 15th career win at Florence. … Florence Speedway’s 12th annual King of Compacts ($10,000-to-win for small cars) included $3,000- and $5,000-to-win programs for the Super Late Model division. … Rice was nearly unbeatable at Florence in the first half of the season, winning the $15,000 Lucas Oil Series race on May 1, as well $5,000 victories on March 27 and April 17 and a $3,000 win on May 22. … Florence has another $5,000-to-win event, the Fall 50, planned for Oct. 23.
