What won the race: Holding off Tim Dohm and Jacob Hawkins after a late caution set up a last-lap dash, Tyler Carpenter of Parkersburg, W. Va., scored the $5,000 victory in Friday's Topless 50 at Ohio Valley Speedway. The victory marked Carpenter's second straight at the West Virginia oval.
Key notes: Carpenter led the final 32 circuits after Tim Dohm of Cross Lanes, W.Va., paced the field from laps 1-18. … Four cautions slowed the race, with eleven drivers completing all 50 laps. … Freddie Carpenter of Parkersburg, W.Va., retired on lap 35. … The second leg of the Topless 50 features moves to the sister track Tyler County Speedway on Saturday for another $5,000-to-win event.
