Jared Miley shows off his $3,500 paycheck at Wayne County Speedway.
What won the race: Leading all 30 laps from the pole, Jared Miley of Pittsburgh, Pa., swept the evening at Wayne County Speedway on Saturday, topping the Zimmer's United Late Model Series for his 10th career victory and collecting $3,500.
Quotable: "The car was pretty good. I won here like 12 years ago and it was about the same, you know the track was kinda drier and we're usually good in that condition," Miley said. "The car was good all night, can't ask for more than that. The car has been fast all year, we just had a little bit of bad luck and a little bit of driver messing up, tonight we finally put it all together. We definitely like this place, always run good here. I think the worst I've ever finished here is second or third — we've had a lot of those — so it's good to get a win finally."
Key notes: After making contact with Todd Brennan while racing for third place on lap four, Ryan Missler of Bellevue, Ohio, moved into second place on the ensuing lap-five restart and finished in the runner-up position. ... Reigning Wayne County Speedway champion Mitch Caskey of Strasburg, Ohio, completed the podium in third. ... Brennan of Zansville, Ohio, recovered to finish fourth. ... After winning the second heat race, Doug Drown of Wooster, Ohio, completed only 19 laps and finished 15th. ... Saturday's feature, the tour's second-ever visit to Wayne County, was slowed by five cautions and lasted 22 minutes, with eight competitors completing all 30 laps.
On the move: Ryan Markham of Ashland, Ohio, started 11th and finished sixth.
