Troy Springborn led all the way for his second Dirt Kings victory.
What won the race: Polesitter Troy Springborn of Shawano, Wis., led all 30 laps Friday at Outagamie Speedway for his second Wabam Dirt Kings Tour victory of the season. Springborn took the checkers 3.050 seconds ahead of Brett Swedberg.
Key notes: Springborn also won the tour opener April 23 at his hometown Shawano Speedway. ... Three cautions slowed the action. ... Jayme Zidar spun in turn three before the race resumed following a lap-21 caution. ... The lap-21 yellow flag appeared when Paul Thorpe stopped against the wall entering turn three (several caution laps during the ensuing caution were used in trying to line up the field and get Tom Naeyaert in his proper place; during the came caution, Ron Berna lost fire and was towed off the track). ... Sawyer Specht spun for a lap-four yellow. ... The Wabam Dirt Kings Tour visited Outagamie for the 10th time.
On the move: Justin Ritchie of New London, Wis., started 15th and finished third.
Winner's sponsors: Springborn’s MB Customs Race Car is powered by a Pro Power Racing Engine and sponsored by Scott Construction, CPF Metal Fabrication, Frank Wallace Flooring and Marshal Giese Plumbing.
